Do B2B Websites Help Global Trade?

Do B2B websites help global trade? Yes, of course they help. Most of my business and buyers got in touch with me and started business from B2B websites. And those where I get export order are free of charge, while those we pay member fee brought us nothing. Not sure if other companies confront similar situation as I did. Just wonder where B2B websites that mainly count on suppliers' member fee go to.

For many Asian B2B trade portals, it is time for them to change service pattern or think of new profitable modes. It took me much energy to source some free B2B portals a few years before, while now I can find some new every month. If the cake size doesn't change or even shrink after economy crisis. Then how to share it if every e-commerce portal use similar business mode? Large companies can expend their business by investing market overseas, they have enough money that are obtained from share stock market and venture capital. So for those small and middle sized B2B companies, they need to observe and image as more as they can on what customers real demand and seek for methods to turn these demand into profit.
